ACTORE

The University of Antwerp is a research university hosting several groups with research agendas in EU studies. The Antwerp Consortium on the Organization of Rulemaking and Multi-level Governance in Europe (ACTORE) is the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of the University of Antwerp. ACTORE brings together scholars from 3 research groups: law (G&L), public administration (PA&M) and political science (ACIM), with multidisciplinary expertise in multi-level and multi-actor organization of the EU. ACTORE and PhD training

ACTORE facilitates the development of joint research and the common organization of PhD training. We intend to host external PhD students or junior post-doc researchers in one of the participating research groups. ACTORE invites applications of PhD students / junior post docs for a research stay of up to 2 months in Antwerp, enabling exchanges with ACTORE staff and field work in nearby Brussels. ACTORE will fund travel and accommodation costs up to €1500 for each of the selected candidates. ACTORE will also offer office space and full access to campus facilities.

Who can apply?

PhD students and junior Postdoctoral scholars can apply, taking into account the following conditions.

1. Applicants must be proficient in English.
2. At the time of applying the applicants must be either enrolled in PhD studies or be in the possession of a doctoral degree and engaged in early stages of post-doc research.
3. Applicants’ research has to match the research agenda of one of the participating groups (see www.actore.eu ).
4. The visit is planned in Spring or Fall Semester of 2017.
