EUSA Executive Committee Call for Nominations

Nominations for the European Union Studies Association (EUSA) Executive Committee election are now being accepted. Four seats are open for the 2019 election, to be elected to four-year terms-2019-2023. If you are nominating another person, please get their permission.

The seven members of the Executive Committee meet once a year, determine Association policies, and oversee activities including prizes, EUSA's website and listserve, interest sections, and the Biennial Conference.

Nominations (self-nominations accepted) must include:

(1) current curriculum vita (short version preferred);

(2) one brief biographical paragraph not to exceed 150 words (for use with the ballot);

Executive Committee members must be current members of EUSA who have not already served eight years total on the Committee. EUSA welcomes all qualified candidates, including those from outside academia. It is hoped that the final slate will be characterized by a balance among senior and junior level candidates, among minority and women candidates, as well as a cross-representation of academic disciplines, colleges and universities, and geographical locations.

All nomination materials should be sent by email (eusa@pitt.edu) to the Executive Director, Joe Figliulo. Please put “2019 EUSA ExCom Election” in the subject line. Deadline for receipt of materials is October  19, 2018.

A ballot will be emailed to all current EUSA members by October 26, 2018, and ballots will be due by November 30, 2018.

Election results will be announced early January 2019. The four new Executive Committee members will take office at the 2019 EUSA Biennial Conference in Denver.
