Call for Submissions — E!Sharp

Dear EUSA Members,

The Brussels policy magazine E!Sharp has recently moved from a predominantly print publication to an exclusively electronic forum for commentary on European Union affairs. As part of that transition, the publishers of E!Sharp have agreed to include selected contributions from EUSA members. This is an excellent opportunity for EUSA members to promote their research in the form of short (500-700 word) comments on current affairs in an established outlet with a wide readership. For several years now, EUSA has been considering the development of an on-line forum or blog in order to increase awareness about research on Europe. By partnering with E!Sharp we are confident that we will be able to achieve that objective.

EUSA members interested in making a submission should first read some of the pieces on the E!Sharp website to get a sense of the style and content. Draft submissions (or pitches) should be sent to eusa.esharp.submissions@gmail.com. The submissions should be pasted into the body of the email and should include a one-line statement about the author (e.g. Joe Bloggs is Professor of European Union Studies at the University of Derry and author of The ECB and the End of the Irish Miracle (DUP, 2011)). Please do not send attachments. These submissions will be reviewed and an editor will be in touch within three working days. If your submission is accepted for publication, you will also be asked to provide a low resolution photograph for posting on the E!Sharp website.

Sincerely,
The EUSA-E!Sharp Team
